Fully functioning SPM-200 and SPS-200 aspheric processing machines are featured in the four day technical course, along with our
ProACT Software Suite. Leading the sessions is an engineer specialist from our German manufacturing facility. Attendees will also be able to work with the Taylor Hobson/Ametek LuphoScan 260. The sessions include both classroom and hands-on experience.

Day TWO

  • Introduction to LuphoScan 260: 3D inspection by Taylor Hobson/Ametek staff
  • Moving beyond classical asphere polishing on SPS-200: tool prep; pre-polishing; and zonal corrections
  • Introduction to ProACT and ADAPT 2.0: theory and application including tool prep, support ring influences; and removal coefficients

 

Day THREE
9am-2pm

  • Polishing with ProACT and ADAPT 2.0 on SPS-200: pre-polishing with constant removal; zonal corrections; and local corrections
  • Data manipulation with ProACT MDP (Measurement Data Processing)
  • Evening event at Harley-Davidson Museum

 

Day FOUR
9am-3pm

  • Introduction to ProACT ADAPT Freeform and more
  • Advanced data manipulation for grinding processes and data stitching
  • On-machine processing demo of free form polishing
  • Demonstartion of new moded tools for free form processes
  • Classroom summary and conclusions
